If your GP prescribed you a 'green hour' as part of your daily health routine, how would you use it and where would you go?
Kim would go to her local Shirley Pond Park to collect dandelions and other herbs for her lunch salad. Rob from Freemantle, who never leaves home without his sketchbook, would find a quiet spot in a green space and draw. Tim from St. Denys would take his young son for an insect discovery trail along the river using the iNaturalist app.

The benefit of spending time in green spaces has long been acknowledged. Southampton has a fantastic mix of hidden green gems: formal parks, gardens, sites of Special Scientific Interest, and local natural spaces.

Community media organisation We Make Southampton has collected and curated 6 well-loved Southampton walks on the free app Go Jauntly, each nominated by local residents whose personal stories and connections are incorporated into the routes.
