IMechE Formula Student Southampton University Formula Student team
Meet SUFST, the University of Southampton's Formula Student Team, and get up close to our student-designed race car!
Discover how our team designs, builds, and develops single-seater race cars, from traditional combustion powertrains to modern electric technology. Visitors can explore the car up close, get hands-on with real engineering components, and chat with student engineers about how the car works and what it takes to compete in Formula Student competitions.
Younger visitors can enjoy a fun, hands-on livery design activity, creating their own race car colour schemes, while older students and adults can ask questions about vehicle design, engineering challenges, and motorsport careers. Our team members will be on hand throughout the day to share their experiences and explain how involvement in Formula Student helps develop practical engineering skills and provides a pathway towards careers in motorsport and Formula One.
Whether you're passionate about motorsport, curious about engineering, or just want to see a real race car, SUFST will offer an exciting and interactive experience for all ages.
