How Can Culture Drive Sustainability? | Roundtable and Open Space Event
Highfield Campus
Age suitable for: 14+
Led by the Sustainability and Resilience Institute come along to an informal roundtable panel of artists, senior and early career academics and community groups leading into a lively open space where we discuss all things culture and sustainability! How does our culture inform our sustainable behaviour? What is culture's role in driving forward sustainability? And how can culture be used to get our communities engaging with sustainability?
The event will start with a Round Table panel with a diverse panel; academics from Arts and Humanities and Sustainability Science, actors and community groups. Following this informal discussion we will move into an Open Space activity, where attendees move between spaces each designated with a certain topic area from the panel discussion. This informal open space will allow you to engage with others on areas of the discussion you have an interest in, want to learn more about or have expertise in you want to share!
The panel will include: Professor Craig Hutton (Director of the Sustainability and Resilience Institute), Professor Stephanie Jones (Southampton Institute for Arts and Humanities), Iona Johnson and Anna Harriott (Stories in the Dust), a representative from Transition Town Dorchester and Scarlet Clark PhD Researcher in Arts and Humanities.
LOCATION:
- Highfield Campus (SO17 1BJ)
