
Experience the R. J. Mitchell Wind Tunnel | Lab Tour
The Mitchell wind tunnel has a long history in aerodynamics in the UK, initially in its birthplace of Farnborough but subsequently here in Southampton. Being used for everything from Formula One car development to wind turbine design and lots in between come and experience the wind tunnel and hear how it's been used over the years to further our understanding of air flows.
Visitors will be invited into the test section to learn about what the team does and how the tunnel is used to understand airflows and develop aerodynamics of bikes, cars, planes, wind turbines.
