A better world with lasers
We will provide an interactive experience of interdisciplinary research that uses lasers to explore transformative solutions for global issues. These range from detecting microplastic pollution and studying their effect on coral reefs to early disease diagnosis to save lives and finding life on Mars. The exhibits will include an interactive 'coral reef', 'rainbow resonators', Spectroscopy in a box and a 'Mars Rover' supported by an inspiring team of STEM ambassadors and scientists. Visitors will explore these as a 'coral detective' to identify microplastics, understand the underpinning science of laser-induced tiny vibrations and learn how working together is essential for providing impactful world saving solutions.
