Why is time measured in seconds, minutes and hours? Why do we need to sleep to stay fit and alert? Why is winter time depressing to some people? Why can shift work be bad for your health and waist line? If you are interested in some answers to these questions, come along to a talk by Dr Herman Wijnen, a chronobiologist and Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of Southampton. Oh, and if you like, you can also find out whether you are better suited to an early bird or night owl life style.
